Viva wins Best Baby Puppy in Group at her first show

Introduction

 

Viva is the first litter from our imported male, Aust Ch Rhodonite Roman Emberez (Imp UK).  Our lovely girl Ripley is her mother.

 

Viva lives with Jo and Brian, who adore her and show her with success.   She is extremely loving and smoochy, also very laid back and calm.

 

Attributes

 

We chose to retain Viva because of her shortness of leg, depth of chest, overall width and bone.  In my opinion she had the second nicest head to her sister Solona, but Viva had more mass. 

 

Although she has grown into a large girl, already weighing close to 60kg at 2 years of age, she has some nice features.  Viva has inherited her fathers heavy bone.  She has a full body and thick muscled neck.  Her rear angulation is an improvement on Ripley, and her topline has held together nicely.  She is already deep and wide in the chest, with very full shoulders.  She has a nice visible underjaw and excellent undershot, but we hope her head improves with age, as she is lacking in muzzle strength and top of skull width at the moment.

 

Viva is a light red/fawn in colour, more like her father Roman.  In fact, Viva is almost identical to Roman as a puppy at the same age.  So I have hopes that she will be very similar to a female version of Roman.

 

We have exciting plans for her in the future when she is old enough to be bred from.  Viva will certainly be one foundation for the next step in my breeding program.

 

We are pleased that Viva has returned a hip score of 9, which is excellent for such a big built female.
