Cadeau DeLaVie means “Gift of Life”, and that’s how we feel about Ripleys first baby girl to us.

 

Attributes

 

Cadence has a feminine typey head, although a small head, with a nice shape and good wrinkle and nice chin mark giving a lovely expression and lovely very dark eye colour.  She has a very stocky body, deep, low and wide, with ribs well let down below her elbows.  She is very muscular and athletic with a good topline.  Her foreleg placement beneath her chest is excellent and her rear angulation is adequate.  She is very active and fast with so much speed and power, her thigh and shoulder muscles are well developed because of this.

 

She is a small girl weighing only about 47kgs and she is not heavy boned.  Cadence has a large white chest and 4 white feet, all within the breed standard, however she has white up her throat which is classed as a cosmetic fault.  For this reason we do not show her.

 

Cadence is one of the healthiest dogues I have come across.  She has perfect elbows of 0:0, excellent hip score of 7, International B grade, shoulders clear and a strong healthy heart.  Her eyes and skin are always in perfect condition, and she has never had as much as a spot of skin problems even when growing up as a baby.

 

While the white lets her down and she won’t be shown to any title, she has some good attributes plus her health and fitness is of such high quality. 

 

Cadence was bred to Roman producing 4 males and 3 females.  The litter was fairly consistent in type, but sadly the girls have the same white as their mother, so I chose not to retain any females from this litter.  Two males look very promising and they have been homed with friends to monitor their development.
