ChunkBellarouge Constantine (Male) Constantine was the largest puppy, with heavy bone and a very nice head. Joi chose him herself so off he went to New Zealand. Constantine has good allround proportions with a wide chest and a large head for his age. Owned by Joi Paki at Boffheads in NZ |
SoloBellarouge Solona (Female) Solo had the standout head of all the litter. She is only a little less in mass to Viva, but Solo had slightly longer legs than Viva. It was a real dilemma to chose which one to keep between Viva and Solo, but because I wanted to retain co-ownership of the one I homed, I knew it didn’t really matter. So I was very happy to home Solo with Linda. I hope she does her proud. Owned by Linda Fisher and Bellarouge |
BastianBellarouge Sebastian (Male) Bastian was my favourite of the boys. He was the smaller of the 3 nicest boys, but I just fell in love with his head and expression. I think he is of a promising type and I look forward to seeing how he develops. Owned by Georgia and Brendan Vollemaere and Bellarouge Photos - 8.5 weeks and 6 & 7 months |
GageBellarouge Twelve Gage (Male) Gage is very much like Viva, they were almost twins. His head was not as strong as the other two boys, but he was built the same as Viva, short and stocky. Gage has been homed with Aaron as a family pet but I am keeping an eye on him should he one day have something special to contribute to a breeding program. Owned by Aaron |

We are very proud of our litters.
On this page I will feature other promising puppies who have gone to certain homes with the hope that they will mature into something special for their owners. In most cases, these puppies are co-owned by myself and their families.
As details and new photos come to hand, I will update this page and follow the development of the puppies with great anticipation. |

KaleaBellarouge Kalea (Female) Kalea lives on the wonderful island of Oahu in Hawaii with Jenny and Shawn, who have become wonderful friends and we are looking forward to our holiday with them in the future. They already have one other dogue, Hercules, and a cross breed rescue dog, Pearl. Owned by Jenny and Shawn in Hawaii Photos - 10 weeks and 3 months |

We do occassionally have puppies available and sometimes announce upcoming litters. But due to waitlists, many litters are already spoken for. Please contact us if you are interested in a puppy and we will keep you informed.
My recommendations to those people looking for puppies is to try and see as many dogues as possible, talk to a number of breeders, visit shows and kennels and research the breed. Once you have definitely decided that the dogue is for you, go with the type of Dogue you like and the breeder you feel the most comfortable with.
For those people looking for show or breeding quality dogues, I also offer this information. Not every litter contains pups which can be considered for potential show and breeding quality. So you may have to wait until a suitable puppy becomes available, I suggest that you decide on your chosen breeder and then put your name down with them for a show puppy. Also remember that although breeders do their best to select puppies around the age of 8 weeks, that they cannot see into the future. Puppies change and grow, so through no fault of the breeder, should you be unsatisfied with the quality of your show/breeding puppy, be sure to discuss your concerns with your breeder first. And the same applies to health, which is an even more important matter, always talk to your breeder and veterinarian first if you have any health concerns.
Some of us also often get requests for “show puppies that are a dark mahogany colour” . Colour is the least of the characteristics that we strive for. Colour is secondary to correct conformation and health. While many people do prefer the darker reds, it should not be the first thing to look for when selecting a puppy. For myself and a number of other breeders who do like the darker colour - correctness, type, conformation and health come first, but if the dogue also has our desired colouring, then it is a bonus. The same goes for requests for show puppies that have absolutely no white. Some of the best dogues in Australia and overseas have white on their feet and/or chest.
I choose not to discuss other breeders or comment on their dogs as I feel that, even though some of us don’t get along due to differing opinions and especially in the competitive world of dog showing, I still consider them to be decent breeders. The “known” breeders in Australia are, in general, ethical people, doing the best they can for the breed, even if we sometimes argue.
